The “misc” category was the Walmart gift card purchase and an adjustment for an Amercan mystery shopping cheque I deposited for $75.00. The bank withdrew the $75 and replaced it with $73.00 – American/Canadian money exchange never works in my favour. Le sigh.
Update on this week
We’ve got the basement all cleaned out in preparation for renting it out. I did a walk through and we have a list of things that we need to fix or update – we should be able to do everything for under $200. Our aim is to have someone by June 1st – or June 15th at the outside – so I plan on spending this week finishing off the basement and learning more about the landlord tenant act.

Sounds like you did a good job on spending and hopefully the basement stuff will go well for you. Thank you for mentioning my post, I really appreciate it.
Thanks Grayson! We’re hoping the basement suite rental will bring in an addition $800 in income for us – it would be a big help! Spending did go very well – I think one of the big successes was being able to pack a lunch all five days I worked this week. I know that’s a big spend area for me.
No problem with mentioning the post, you put out quality stuff?
Cheers!
Lindsey
I’m guessing that the extra spending on your blog will pay off. I’ve still been reluctant to spend on a theme, but I paid for hosting and am working on moving over to wordpress. If you have any advice for a fellow challenger, let me know. This stuff still feels so new!
Hi Matt!
Yeah, spending money on the blog can be a real tough question, especially a PF blog – I’m familiar with a few blogs that were really successful with spending nothing or next to nothing. Others did spend money and did well, as well.
I do have some tips – I’ll email them to you.
Cheers buddy!

Well done on the spending! The rental will be great to bring in some extra income for you. I’m excited to hear the news that you will be sharing!!! Keep up the great work mate and thanks for the shout out. Lisa’s story is a true inspiration. Cheers
Hi Mr. CBB!
Thank you very much, I was excited to see such a decrease in my spending. I’ll post more about the opportunity on Wednesday!
I have to say I really enjoyed your ‘Teenage Pregnancy’ post by your reader, it was very inspiring!
Thanks for reading

Hey, awesome spending week. What is the American Mystery shopping all about? I’ve heard of mystery shopping but not sure what it entails. Thanks for sharing a CBB post Lindsey! P.S tried to get comment luv to work and it wouldn’t 🙂
Hey Mr. CBB! Thanks for letting me know about commentluv – there’s a few things that have broken as I migrate the site over. I still have a lot of work to do!
