Weekly Update: Spending

– This week was really good for entertainment spending. I packed my lunch this week and ended up only spending $6.00 out my budget for the week. I bought some books with the extra money with $40 I saved during the week.
-We were able to put $300 towards our store credit card which brings our total to under $1000 on that balance.
-Rest of the week was spending as usual
Weekly Update: Life Under Construction
I have been think a lot lately about how time-intensive running this blog has been over the past six months. I need to evaluate how I spend my time because this has a big bearing on how I spend money.
I think I’m going down to posting twice a week and see how that goes as I get ready for school starting in September. This will free up some time for doing other things. If I do three times a week, it will be two posts and one mini post – maybe a link love.
I bought the book 168 Hours: You have more time than you think so hopefully this helps with my time management issues.
Have a great start to your week and see everyone tomorrow!
Cutting back sounds like a great option. It frees up a little bit of time without completely abandoning the blog. Definitely keep us updated on how it’s working out.
Yeah, I think I’ve got the beginnings of a plan for moving forward with the blog. I think I’d miss the community too much to not be part of it somehow. I’ll be posting a new blogging schedule this week. Thanks for stopping by, Matt!
Two posts a week would still be great, Lindsey.
Yeah, that should be good. I think I’ll do two posts and a fluffy link love post. I’d like to keep posting at three in some way because I’m already three months into the Yakezie Challenge. I’ll have to see how it goes though…
That’s awesome. What were the books you purchased?
Hey there, I bought some Kobo novels – mostly fiction. I bought 5th Wave, Taken, Sylo, etc. I am going through a dystopian faze. ๐
Well done on putting $300 towards your store card! I do two posts a week plus a link love. I enjoy blogging so much but I find if I run out of time, I put pressure on myself to post. And I don’t want to lose the enjoyment of blogging so I need to relax a little with it I think! ๐
Thanks! We’ll be putting $800 on debt next month, hopefully. I might need an oil change and my tire patched (it’s got a slow leak) so some of the money might have to be diverted to that first. I am also trying to relax and enjoy the blogging process. If I start getting spazzy about it, I don’t enjoy it as much.
Man I know how you feel with the blog taking a lot of time. I’m doing mine, plus getting ready to launch at least one or two more. Definitely one more. I wish is was my full time job and made me lots of money. ๐
Ooh! I’m excited to read any new blog you’re putting out! It’s really enjoyable but a huge time suck! I also wish mine was full time and made me lots of money! I think you’ll get there though, hang in there!
Glad to see you’re sticking around and just cutting back. It makes a lot of sense to me!! ๐ I find that as long as you are providing quality posts, people will come whether it’s once or five times a week.
