I’ve been reading a lot personal finance blogs recently (naturally) and discovered a really neat personal finance and lifestyle blogging network called Yakezie. They are a collection of bloggers dedicated to building a community and collaborating to create quality opportunities for members and others. I realize this vague description could be anything from a ‘save the child’ fundraiser to a pyramid scheme but you’ll really have to check out their site to really get a full idea.
I have been looking around the Yakezie site and I’m really impressed with what I’ve seen here – they seem to be exactly what they say they are. There is a strong sense of community with members come from all walks of life and a dedication in helping out where and when they can.
I have decided to join the Yakezie Challenge to become a member of their blog network and there is a series of steps involved – see here for more information. As a new blogger of two months and at a very very humble Alexa ranking of 2,618,724, I imagine achieving an Alexa score of under 200,000 might be a tall order. At this point, I’m keen to learn and be part of an exciting community of like-minded bloggers who can appreciate the ups and downs of this kind of work/hobby. I’m not sure I’ll do under Alexa score 200,000 in six months (because I’m not sure how all this works yet) but I’m going to enjoy the ride anyways!
Here’s to taking the leap! Cheers!
Welcome to the challenge! I love Yakezie.
